Parents Connect is a great opportunity for you to connect with other parents in our parish in a welcoming, open and faith-filled environment. The group meets once a month, on Tuesday mornings at 10 AM, in the lower level of Father Fata Hall. Childcare is provided.
Our discussions focus on the book, “Made This Way - How to Prepare Kids to Face Today’s Tough Moral Issues” by Leila Miller and Trent Horn. Do you struggle with how to talk to your children about the ethical and moral issues we face in our society today? This book will help you not only understand what the church teaches on these issues but will equip you with the confidence to speak to your young children and teenagers. Interested in joining us? The Twelve Unbreakable Principles of Parenting was inspired by the problems encountered by author Ann Lang O'Connor when deciding how best to raise her children with a strong faith foundation.
In her attempt to find a sense of direction, she developed twelve core principles to provide a systematic way to make decisions on tough issues and day-to-day questions.
She writes in her introduction, "I determined that, out of the thousands of things that I could choose to focus on as a parent, these were the principles on which I wanted to center my energy and attention, so I could let all of the rest go without regret."
Great Book! We used it this past year!
Practical! Funny and Profound!
